Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WhiskerLog mobile app and related services (the "Service"), provided by Whiskerlog ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

WhiskerLog lets you record and track information about your animals — including weights, breath rates, vet visits and notes — and optionally share that information with other people you choose.

2. Not veterinary advice

WhiskerLog is a record-keeping and reminder tool. Any guidance it shows — including breath-rate ranges, health indicators and reminders — is for general information only and is not veterinary advice. It is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified veterinarian about your animal's health, and seek urgent care if you are worried about your animal.

3. Your account

  • You sign in using a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure.
  • You must provide accurate information and be old enough to enter into a contract in your country (in the UK, 18 or over).
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the information and photos you add to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process and display Your Content so we can operate the Service — including showing it to people you share an animal or litter with.

You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to share it, including where it relates to animals cared for by other people.

5. Sharing

When you share an animal or a litter, you are choosing to give other users access to that information. Only share with people you trust, and only share information you are comfortable them seeing and, where their role allows, editing.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service;
  • upload content that is unlawful or that you do not have the right to share.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change over time.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information in the Service in place of professional veterinary care. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached or where we reasonably need to.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
